Program Description: iPling's SMS service allows users to post and search short classified ads using their mobile phones. Categories include For Sale, For Rent, For Trade, Services, Jobs, Personals, Events and Other.

Supported U.S. Carriers: iPling's instant classifieds service has been reviewed and approved by many of the major carriers, including AT&T, Sprint, Nextel, Virgin Mobile, Boost, T-Mobile, Cincinnati Bell, Alltel and US Cellular. We expect that the service will be approved by all major carriers by September 2011.

Cost in the U.S.: There are no premium charges associated with this service in the United States. Standard message and data rates may apply.

Privacy Policy: Your privacy is our top concern. iPling will never, under any circumstances, sell or distribute your cell phone number to third parties or iPling clients for whom you have not approved. iPling will never directly market to you any services for which you have not opted in, either by cell phone, text message, or email. iPling will never distribute any personal information about you, including your phone number, name, billing information, or any other piece of identifying information.

How to opt-In: To use this service please first send the word START to 99123. Thereafter, to post a classified ad you must text the keyword POST followed by the contents of your ad to 99123. After submitting your ad, you will be asked to select a Category and then to provide a ZIP Code. You wil then receive a confirmation that your ad has been posted as well as an associated ad key. Your ad will be available for 30 days. You can renew your ad for an additional 30 days by sending RENEW followed by your ad key to 99123. To remove your ad at any time, send DELETE followed by your ad key.

To search for a classified ad, you must text the keyword SEARCH followed by a description of what you are looking for to 99123. After sending your search request, you will be asked to select a category and then to provide a ZIP Code. You will then receive the most relevant ad according to matching tags and location. Each search result will include the option to send a text to the author of the ad by replying with the keyword TALK, the ad’s code, and your message. You can also view the next most relevant ad by replying NEXT. If your search request results in no matching ads, you may elect to activate iPling’s automatic notifications features by replying your ZIP Code. If you do so, iPling will promptly send you up to 3 relevant ads as soon as they are posted.

How to opt-out: You can opt-out of all iPling service at anytime by texting STOP to 99123. A confirmation message will be sent back to you.
