Our SMS groups give group authors the ability to instantly send messages to an unlimited number of recipients with a single SMS, and group followers (those that opt-in to the authors' groups) the opportunity to receive and reply to timely SMS messages from the group authors they decide to follow. Authors may send out last minute promotions, share news, disclose critical information, ask questions or conduct polls. The practical applications are virtually unlimited!

How do I create a group?

To create a group just text the word NEWGROUP to iPling’s 99123 short code. iPling will instantly generate a group name that you can then share with those that you want to join your group. If you want to choose a specific name then text NEWGROUP followed by the NAME you wish to use (e.g. NEWGROUP CLUB10) to 99123. If the name is available, iPling will instantly assign it to your phone.

Notifying your group is then as easy as sending a text message to 99123 beginning with the word NOTIFY (or IPLING) followed by your group name and by the message you wish to send (e.g. NOTIFY CLUB10 there is no practice tomorrow afternoon. See you next Monday!).

You may disband your groups at any time by texting DISBAND followed by the corresponding group name to 99123.

For your groups to grow over 100 members, you must parchase iPling Credits by clicking the button below and following the directions provided.

How do others join my group?

Disclose the group's name among the people you want joining it. Then, all your future members need to do is text the word JOIN followed by the group's name to iPling's 99123 short code (e.g. JOIN CLUB10). As soon as group members opt-in, they will begin to receive any messages you send.

Group members may reply to you by texting ANSWER followed by the corresponding group name and by their reply. (e.g. ANSWER CLUB 10 This is John coach. We’ll see you on Monday. Enjoy the weekend).

Group members may drop out of individual groups at any time by texting DROP followed by the corresponding group name to 99123.

To temporarily stop receiving text messages from iPling, send the word PAUSE to 99123. When paused, service may be resumed by texting RESUME to 99123.
