Program Description: This iPhone application allows users with matching interests and active “find & be found” profiles to reach out and communicate with each other using short text (SMS) messages, action that we commonly refer to as “plinging”.

Supported U.S. Carriers: The SMS feature of this iPhone application is currently supported by AT&T and under review by Verizon Wireless.

Cost in the U.S.:iPling does not charge any subscription fees or commissions. Using this iPhone application is completely free of charge. You may communicate with other iPling users safely and anonymously by using iPlings Secure SMS gateway. Please be aware that, although this application is free, your cellular provider may charge you a fee for sending and receiving text (SMS) messages. Standard message & data rates apply.

Privacy Policy: Your privacy is our top concern. iPling will never, under any circumstances, sell or distribute your cell phone number to third parties or iPling clients for whom you have not approved. iPling will never directly market to you any services for which you have not opted in, either by cell phone, text message, or email. iPling will never distribute any personal information about you, including your phone number, name, billing information, or any other piece of identifying information.

How to opt-In: To receive text messages from other iPling users you must i) read and agree to this basic Terms of Service and ii) activate at least one profile using iPling’s “find & be found” iPhone app. When you activate a profile you are effectively giving others the opportunity to find you and to contact you. Whe you receive a text message, you may reply to it by texting back to iPling’s dedicated shortcode (99123). You need to begin your text message with the word CHAT followed by the CHATCODE provided in the message received and then by what you wish to comunícate back (maximum of 100 characters).

How to opt-out: You can opt-out of all iPling service at anytime by texting STOP to 99123. A confirmation message will be sent back to you. To stop receiving text messages from an indivdual user only, text BLOCK followed by the corresponding CHATCODE to 99123.
